Scheduled - Interac will be performing scheduled database maintenance in the Production environment on Sunday, September 6, 2026. This maintenance is intended to enhance system stability and ensure the continued reliability of Interac's services.

Please find the details below:

Interac – Database Maintenance

Purpose: Server Patching - The database is being switch over to accommodate the Exadata Patching cycle

Maintenance Window: September 6, 2026, 03:00 ET – September 6, 2026, 07:00 ET

Expected Outage Duration: Approximately 120 minutes (between 04:00 ET – 06:00 ET)

Environment: Production

Services Impacted: Interac Transfers

Impact on Transactions : Between 04:00 ET – 06:00 ET (Critical Outage Window)

Interac transactions will not be available for approximately 120 minutes as traffic will be stopped.
During this period, send, receive, and processing functionality will be unavailable, and customer transactions will be unsuccessful.


During the overall maintenance window (03:00 ET – 07:00 ET): Customers might experience intermittent latency issues for both deposits and withdrawals.

Rollback Contingency
In the event a rollback is required, an additional approximately 60 minutes of downtime will be necessary.
